Enveloped in water they hide themselves.

A serendipity afternoon. The whales were near Gaviota State Park This is a few miles north of Santa Barbara, CA. They are heading north to Alaska. My son spotted them earlier in the day and took me to see if he could find them again. I am not sure why they were so close to land. The motion of a breaching whale is so captivating. Not only did we see whales but there were also dolphins in this area.
The sunsets in Hawaii are spectacular. I was intrigued with the fiery colors contrasted with the dark rain clouds.
Out of the depth of the ocean and into the shallow waters come turtles. They tease the viewer who is not allowed to touch them. However, one can swim with these intriguing creatures. We can watch them playing in the waves, just out of reach of a giggling child on the sand in awe of their wonder. Taking photos allows us to view the moment we touched nature with our eyes, again and again.
